About the Institut français du Royaume-Uni
Based in London, The Institut français promotes French language & culture in the UK. It comprises a language centre, cinema, multi-media library & bistro. Our Language Centre caters to language learners of all levels, with courses to suit all timetables and interests. Our repertory cinema, Ciné lumière, screens French, European and World cinema, while our programme of talks and book launches offers a window onto French literary and intellectual life. Finally, our multi-media library, la Médiathèque, holds the largest open-access collection of French-language material in the UK, housed in beautiful art-deco premises, and freely accessible to all.
