Just like every year in July and August, the Parisian librarian ensconce in Parisian gardens with carpets, sun umbrellas and books for Children and Family.
Parisian local libraries (35 in total), “Lire à Paris” and “Lire et faire lire” (non-profit organisations) bring stories to children and families in 28 public gardens, all located near a library.

In a comfortable atmosphere (with carpets and caddies full of books) the librarians and entertainers read and discover with the little ones and the grown-ups: stories, tales, picture books all to listen, to read or to flick through.
Parents are also welcome as the librarians bring free magazines.
It is free to take part in these activities and you don’t need to register.
In 2011, 7,400 people took part in the “Bibliothèques hors les murs” project!
If you are in Paris during this summer, why don't you share a reading moment with French librarians?
