For the first time, an entirely virtual French film festival enable everyone, wherever they are in the world, to have access to a selection of films and vote for their favourites. From 14-29 January 2011 film buffs worldwide will be able to access all the films proposed in the 1st edition of the online French Film Festival.
Ten feature films and ten shorts by young directors are in competition. Internet users are invited to vote for their favourite films and post their comments on the website. The selection includes an all-time classic, French Cancan by Jean Renoir, shown out-of-competition.
The festival is available in 10 languages: the website and films, available for a fee via video-on-demand, are accessible in Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
The website also offers contents free of charge: trailers, exclusive interviews, competitions.
