How to read Montaigne? In a talk held at the Ciné lumière on Thursday 20 January 2011, Will Self explained his approach to reading Montaigne, whilst talking about his dreams of the Queen, how his six year old son would benefit from reading the French author, and Mr Self's holidays alone with the Essais.
Will Self is the author of eighteen books, including seven novels, three novellas, four collections of short stories and four collections of journalism. His last book, Walking to Hollywood, was published by Bloomsbury in September 2010. He lives in south London with his wife and their four children.
